1.19.16

INDIANAPOLIS (Jan. 19, 2016) – The familiar shield of United Fiber & Data will once again be seen on Andretti Autosport entries for the 2016 Verizon IndyCar Series. The tech company, which served as a primary sponsor for the team’s 2014 season, will return as an associate sponsor with branding on the 27 and 28 cars driven by Marco Andretti and Ryan Hunter-Reay, respectively. This will mark a third season in the relationship between Andretti Autosport and the Pennsylvania-based company. Full liveries of the cars will be unveiled at a later date.

“We’re excited to have United Fiber & Data back on board for the 2016 season,” said four-time championship team owner Michael Andretti. “Through our years together, we’ve shared success both on and off the track. We’re looking forward to the next chapter of our partnership in support of UFD’s business objectives.”

“Precision engineering, alternative strategy and high-caliber performance – the metrics that define United Fiber & Data’s advanced communications infrastructure, and also what defines the racing legacy built by Michael Andretti and the drivers of Andretti Autosport. We’re proud to return for our third season with this championship pedigree team that will represent our clients, employees and technology partners throughout the 2016 IndyCar campaign,” said Bill Hynes, Founder & CEO of United Fiber & Data.

The green flag will fall on the 2016 Verizon IndyCar Series championship on March 13 with the opening round of competition on the streets of St. Petersburg, Fla. broadcast live on ABC. Andretti Autosport will field three full season entries with Andretti, Hunter-Reay and Carlos Muñoz. Keep up to date on all things Andretti via Twitter with @FollowAndretti.

About United Fiber & Data

United Fiber & Data is an operating communications infrastructure enterprise delivering long haul, multi-state fiber optic transmission, and secure data storage. UFD is differentiating its enterprise from the incumbent carriers and data storage providers by approaching data as a single product rather than a disjointed byproduct of voice driven networking or data storage. UFD will provide high-capacity pathway diversity and data storage redundancy far from the congestion and single point of failure associated with the I-95/Amtrak corridor. UFD has completed construction on a new 24-mile fiber optic network in lower Manhattan and plans to finish construction on its 400-mile line by Fall 2016. This $30mm purpose-built fiber network will service underserved rural communities between New York and Washington, D.C. as well as providing pathway diversity to the congested I-95 corridor. For more information, visit  www.UFD.com
